Vibration Control Tech.
for Buildings

The objective of our vibration control devices, such as mass dampers, is to control the vibration on the building by dissipating the kinetic energy down to the standard level set by  to ensure habitability and safety of the structure.
As modern buildings become increasingly slender and flexible, prolonged exposure to wind or moderate seismic activity can cause occupant discomfort, leading to reduced work efficiency or disruption of normal activities. This issue is particularly critical for high-rise residential buildings and office towers, where wind-induced vibrations can significantly impact the quality of living and working environments.

In addition to natural loads such as wind and earthquakes, buildings may also experience localized vibrations from traffic loads, such as vehicles and railway systems. Especially for structures located along urban roads, vibrations transmitted through slabs from heavy vehicles or subways can deteriorate the comfort of residential environments.

To address these concerns, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), along with national building codes, recommend quantitatively classifying vibration magnitudes. They encourage limiting structural vibrations below specific thresholds, taking into account the type of vibration and occupant perception levels, to ensure a comfortable and functional environment.
