Temburong Bridge (Wind Tunnel Testing)
Temburong bridge is a 30 km long bridge that links Jalan Utama Mentiri in Brunei-Muara district with Jalan Labu in Temburong district. There are two cable stayed bridges: the Eastern Channel Bridge and the Brunei Channel Bridge. The Eastern Channel Bridge is a cable stayed bridge with 2 pylons and has the total length of 520m (130m + 260m + 130m = 520m) with 30.2m width concrete deck. The Brunei Channel Bridge is a cable stayed bridge with 1 pylon and has the total length of 290m (145m + 145m = 290m) with 37.2m concrete deck
The wind tunnel tests and analyses were carried out to investigate the wind-induced behaviors of the bridge during and after construction. The items of tests and analyses are described as follows:

The wind tunnel tests and analyses were carried out to investigate the wind-induced behaviors of the bridge during and after the construction. The items of tests and analyses are described as follows: Wind Tunnel Test/Analysis Conducted: ▣ Section model test of bridge deck ▣ Section model test of pylon leg ▣ Aeroelastic model test of free standing pylon ▣ Aeroelastic model test of full bridge ▣ Wind shield model test ▣ Wind-resistant design of hanger cable |
