Final presentations for Sungai Kebun and Temburong Bridge Project

On 26th of April 2014, the results of the wind tunnel testing on Sungai Kebun Bridge and Temburing Bridge commissioned by Ministry of Development of Brunei Darussalam were presented to the Client at Public Works Department in Brunei.

A number of personnel from MOD, Joint venture attended both presentations and discussed the results of the wind studies. In addition, an issue on further investigations was raised during the presentation. TES is glad to confirm the aerodynamic stability of the proposed long-span bridges in Brunei.

TESolution hosted a technical tour for the guests from Brunei Darussalam

On 1st of April 2014, wind tunnel witness testing took place at TESolution facilities. A group of people from Ministry of Development of Brunei Darussalam, Client of the project, and Institute Technology of Brunei were present to discuss on-going long-span bridge project, Temburong Bridge and witness test facilities of TESolution.
In addition, a full-bridge test, which was not dealt with in the scheduled programme, was briefly introduced emphasizing its advantages.
The technical tour drew attendee's attention regarding the importance of wind tunnel studies.

Constructing the 3D scale model of Sungai Kebun Bridge in Brunei

A set of 3D scale model of Sungai Kebun Bridge whose construction is on-going in Brunei has been shipped to the venue. The iconic link in the heart of Brunei, Bandar Seri Begawan, was reduced to 1/100 to investigate 3-dimensional aerodynamic performance of the bridge.
The wind tunnel testing had been completed in April 2014 and the 3D model was rebuilt up in the show case at the construction site.
TESolution appreciates the cooperation of DAELIM during the model construction.

Presentation of Wind Tunnel Testing on Sungai Kebun Bridge, Brunei

The results of the wind tunnel testing for the Sungai Kebun Bridge in Brunei were presented by TESolution to personnel of DAELIM and Public Works Department of Brunei at the construction site on 24th April 2014.
The sequence of the bridge lies in piling stage and the aerodynamic stability of the bridge were confirmed via a series of wind tunnel testing.
